Second appearance of Messrs Kellar and Cunard, the illusionists, at the Theatre Koyal to-night. The brethren of the Victoria Lodge of Freemasons hold their regular monthly meeting in the Masonic Hall, Munroe-street, at 7.30 this evening. A summoned meeting of the members of the Loyal Napier Lodge of Oddfellows for the election of officers, <_c, takes place at 8 o'clock to-night. The annual meeting of the Hampden Bacing Club will be held at Hampden tomorrow, the first race starting at noon. The next of Messrs Banner and Liddle's auction sales of wool takes place at their Spit stores at 2 p.m. to-morrow, and a resume of the wools to be offered is published. In consequence of the holidays the fortnightly subscriptions of tho Napier Land and Building Society, No. 5, will be received at the company's office to-morrow. The holiday arrangements on the Napier railway are announced. A display of fireworks will take place on the recreation ground on Saturday evening. At the Horse Bazaar on Saturday Mr Monteith's weekly sale of stock, produce, &c, takes place at 3.30 p.m., and at 2.30 p.m. Mr Monteith will sell without reserve a quantity of jewellery, watches, clocks, «_c. A public ball will be held in the Town Hall, Hastings, on Monday evening. All slaughter licenses in the Hawke's Bay Covinty must be renewed on or before Saturday. Proclamations are published abolishing the highway districts in the County of Hawke's Bay, and showing the boundaries of the districts which take their place. The annual election of School Committees in the Hawke's Bay education district takes place in each school district on Monday, January 22. The newly elected School Committees hold their first meeting immediately afterwards for the purpose of appointing a chairman. The partnership existing between Messrs Cornford and Dewes has been dissolved. The business will be carried on by Mr Cornford, who will receive and settle accounts due to and by the late firm. The Hawke's Bay County Council has confirmed the resolution altering the boundaries of the ridings in the county. A reward of £5 is offered for the recovery of five £5 notes, lost between the Hastings racecourse and Napier. Three thousand cross-bred wethers are for sale on application being made to Mr W. Eathbone or Mr C. Arrow, Waipawa. Mr A. McCartney will provide ales, wines, and spirits at tho booth at the Woodthorpe races. " Passion and Pndo " the title of a new serial story, will be commenced with the first issue of the enlarged supplement on Saturday week. The proprietor of tho Greenmpadowa Hotel has four loose boxos to let at Taradale, lodized sarsaparilla, prepared only by W. E.
