DUNEDIN.
October 30. The Cromwell Company has sent down a cake of 204 ounces of gold, obtained from 300 tons ot stone. At a meeting of the Railway Engine Drivers and Firemen's Association, the following resolution was carried .—"That
if any locomotive employee get dismissed through beinsj a member of or taking an active part in the association branch of which such employee is a member, the members upon being convinced of this shall at once take immediate action to stay off work."
