Consols remain at 101-f,
Adelaide wheat, ex-store, has advanced lid per quarter to 49s ; New Zealand ditto has risen Is to Is 6d, and is now worth 43s to 46s ; Adelaide floip , , ex-store, 345. Australian tallow remains at 44s 6d for best beef, and 47s for best mutton. Melbourne, October 18.
Malting barley is in fair demand at 5s 2d to 5s 4d for grain of good quality ; wheat has advanced Id during the week, and is now worth 6s Scl to 6s 10d, with market quiet; New Zealand feed oats are unchanged at 4s 4d to 4s 9d to 4s Bd, an advance of Id upon last week's price. Buyers are holding off, and to effect sales lower prices must be accepted.
