The Eoyal Australian Circus performs at Waipawa again to-night. A Scandinavian concert (the proceeds of which will be in aid of the new Children's Ward at the Hospital) will be given in St. John's school-room to-night. A tea meeting in connection with the Wesleyan Church will take place in the Oddfellows' Hall, Hastings, this evening. Tea will commence at 6 o'clock, after which a public meeting will be held. The Artillery Volunteers parade for gun drill at the gun shed at 8 o'clock this evening. A special meeting of St. John's Branch, No. 93, H.A.C.8.5., in re trustees, will be held at 7 o'clock to-night. Entries of produce, implements, &c, for exhibition at the forthcoming agricultural show will be received by the secretary of the association, Mr Beiiby, at the office, Tenny-son-street, up to 8 o'clock to-night. The foundation stone of a new Masonic Hall will be laid at Waipawa to-morrow, and the brethren of Abercorn Lodge and visiting brethren arc invited to take part in the ceremony, the lodge to be tyled at 11 a.m. sharp. Messrs Banner and Liddlo sell by auction to-morrow at 11 a.m., at their rooms, n quantity of saddlery and harness, household furniture and effects, clothing, boots, &c, as well as the stock of Mr T. Rice, who is giving up business. Tenders for forming a portion of St. Aubyn-street, and for metalling Nelson and King streets, must be sent in to the Heretaunga Eoad Board by 5 p.m. to-morrow. To-morrow is the last day for receiving tenders for making about 28 chains of embankment at Meanee for Mr Powdrell. The next meeting of the Friendly Societies' Fete Committee will be held in the Foresters' Hall, Dickens-street, to-morrow evening. The adjourned meeting of intending shareholders in the Hawke's Bay Meat Export Company will be held in tho Criterion Hotel on Friday at 11 a.m., to receive report of provisional committee. The prices of admission to the Hastings course, stands, paddocks, &c, on Tuesday next (the day of the Jockey Club's spring race meeting) are announced. Particulars respecting the prices of admission, &c, to the Agricultural and Pastoral Society's grand annual show on Wednesday and Thursday next are published. The horse parade will take place in front of the grand stand at 2 p.m. on Thursday, and a trotting match will be held at 3 p.m. on the same day. The members of the Holiday Association announce that their establishments will be closed on Tuesday next, the day of the racee, from 11.30 a.m., and all day on Thursday, the second day of the Agricultural Society's show. Entries for the Horticultural show will be received by Mr Reynolds at Hastings up to Friday evening, and by the secretary, Mr E. F. Menzies, at Napiei , , up to 2 p.m. on Saturday. On Friday Messrs Monteith and Co. will sell 150 head mixed cattle and a number of horses at the Shamrock sale yards. The sale of the Pouawa freehold block of land, by the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, has been postponed till Tuesday, November 28, and the sale of the Waimate block by tender to the sth December. Messrs Neal and Close's establishment will be closed all day on both Tuesday and Thursday next. A cheque on the Bank of New South Wales, drawn by J. Martin in favor of Peter Cooper, is lost, and payment has been stopped. Messrs Monteith and Co.'s produce and stock sales will take place at the Horse Bazaar, as usual, en Saturday. Mr vS, B. Cooper, watchmaker, &c, has a splendid assortment of eye preservers very cheap. Mr P. F. Colledge wants to purchase honey in any quantity. Messrs Monteith and Co. will sell at the Horse Bazaar, on his arrival from Wairarapa, the Clydesdale entire Sir William Wallace. Mr H. Williams has just landed direct from the makers a consignment of sheep shears and Turkey and Washita stones, which are being sold at reduced prices. Messrs Kinross and Co. are selling totara and vimu timber suitable for building purposes, also house blocks, strainers, and mortice posts at moderate rates. Messrs Blythe and Co. are selling men's straw hats for Is each at " The Stall." Mr Beatson, Meanee, has a first class screw wool press for sale. Mr H. H. Wall has a five-roomed house to let. Woods' eucalyptis balsam is an efficacious remedy for coughs, colds, asthma, and bronchial affections of all kinds. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted " column.
