September 26. The racehorse Wheatear, which was recently injured at the Rand wick racecourse, has been destroyed at Sydney. Sir Arthur Gordon sailed to-day for England by the P. and O. steamship Indus. September 27. Tenders are invited here for debentures to the amount of £225,000 in the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company. Applications will be received until noon on October 10th.
