CHRISTCHURCH.
September 5. It is reported here that Mr Joseph Ivess, formerly a newspaper proprietor, has instituted a civil action against W. H. Zouch, the proprietor of the Ashburton Guardian, for libel. The Lyttelton Times Sick Fund Society expect to make £100 clear by their dramatic performance given on Friday and Saturday last.
