DUNEDIN.

June 24.

A five-roomed house in Owen-street, owned by John Barnes and occupied by Mrs Humphries, was destroyed by fire yesterday. The stock was insured in the Transatlantic office for £250, and the furniture and effects in the same office for £300. Six insolvencies were filed this week, including John Edward Hams, solicitor, whose liabilities are set down at £875, and the assets- at £1527, and Louis Bollaude, contractor, whose liabilities are £1076 and assets £15.
