Messrs H. Monteith and Co. report :— We submitted at our weekly sale at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday 29 horses, 1 double-seated buggy, saddlery, harness, &c, and a quantity of grain and farm produce. Prices in the horse market we may quote unchanged with little demand, except for better class sorts. Produce we sold as follows .—Oats, 2s 4d ; barley, 3s 9d ; chick wheat, 3s 9d to 4s ; potatoes, £3 per ton ; bran, £4 10s ; bacon and hams, 9d and lid per lb respectively.

(By Cable) London, March 4 Consols arc unchanged at 99f. The total quantity of -wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,240,000 quarters. Australian tallow, best beef has declined to 32s 6d, best mutton to 36s 6d per cwt.

The five per cent New Zealand ISBO loan is quoted at 110, and the four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan at 97|. Best Scotch pig iron, No. 1, free on board in Clyde, 50s per ton.
