R.M. COURT, WAIPAWA.
THIS DAY. (Before H. Eyre Kenny, Esq. R.M.) CIVIL CASES. E. Harwood (rate collector) v. P. Buchanan, T. B. Buchanan, and J. J. Buchanan, claim £1 Is each for rates. The amount was paid into Court, except the solicitor's fee, for which His Worship gave judgment for £1 113 6d. Walker v. Frazi, claim £6 9s. Mr Guy, appeared for the plaintiff, asked for an adjournment, which was granted, tbe summons not having been served personally. Harwood v. Jones, claim £l for rates. Judgment for amount with costs and counsel's fee.
Same v. shepherd, claim £2 2s for rates. The case was adjourned, defendant having promised through his solicitor to pay before next Court day. He would have done so before but for informality in the summons. Taylor v. McGrath, claim £6 15s. Judgment for amount, with costs and Counsel's fee of £l Is.
Mullinder v. Woodward, claim £26 odd. Mr Guy, who appeared for Woodward, submitted a medical certificate that the defendant was unable to attend, and His Worship adjourned the case for one month, allowing plaintiff's costs and counsel's fee of £1 Is.
The Court rose about 11.30
