After the match champagne was provided and a bat presented to Watson for his great innings. He is going to Wellington next month, and will be found a serviceable addition to the ranks of cricketers there. Collinson, in the course of some remarks on the game, took occasion to repudiate on behalf of the Otago cricketers any sympathy whatever with the opinions expressed by the Dunedin Morninei Herald about the Canterbury cricketers, which have caused a large amount of indignation here. It may be mentioned that Watson's score is not the largest made on the ground. About 11 years ago Mr Berkley, the master of Christ's College, made 189 in a second rate match.

To fill up the afternoon a game wag played by mixed sides from the two elevens. There was some good batting by Haskell, Crawshaw, Fowler, Redmayne, and Hartland, the latter making the largest score. The attendance was not large during the day.
