Gould very kindly devoted the host pin t of tho day to testing the pnpiln of the Upper School in roading, writing, and aiithinctic— a ■orviao for which the roverond gentleman in paiticularly woll fitted. Kighty-four childien attended tho exuiiiination, but tho number attending ten wan considerably more. Mih. Luke presided o\er the (Hutrihution of the prison, eveiy Kuecessful Bchoolfcliow being heartily applauded ; after which Mr. Lnke, on behalf of the children, presented Mr. Wannop with a vciy hiiidsoiue writing desk, at an cxprctuion of mutual good will.
