Insulting Language. —Ann Vesey was oharged with having made uso of insulting lauguage towards Bridget Hunter, on the 12th instant. Mr. Joy appeared for de. fendant. — Bridget Hunter (wife of John Hunter) deposed that on Monday opening last, about rive o'olook, she met Mrs. Vesey, who was in company with two other woinon, in Queen-street. She used most insulting languago towards witness, and she also threatened to take her life. —Elizabeth Dyer (wife of George Dyer) gave corroborative evidence.—.Mr. Joy addressed the Bench for the defence, and denied that his client had mado uso of any bad language. He complained that the defendant had been arrested on the unsupported itatomeut of Mrs. Hunter. He called, as evidence for the defenoe, Mrs. Ann Vesey, who stated that on tho Monday evoning previous she was walkiug down Queen-street with Mrs. Sntton and her sister-in-law. Shu met complainant and Mra. Dyer. They commenoed to Inugfa at her, and she walked on without noticing her in any way. She positively denied she had nmdo uso of tho languago complained of. Sho had never mado use of bad language in the whole coarse of her lifo. Her hand was in a sling at tho time, and she was therefore quite unable to injure any parson.—Elizabeth Sutfcen and Anu Jano Sutton corroborated Mrs. Vesey'a statement.- His Worship remarked on tho evident perjury of one side
