PATUMAH OE: GOVERNMENT VOLUNTEER PARADE.

The usual Government monthly inspection parade of the Forest liifle Volunteer Corps took place on their parade ground at Patuniahoe ou Saturday, when the men mustered in fine style under the command of Major L>. 11. Luak and Ensign Cri9pe ; the band also being in attendance under its able master, Mr. Chilman. The men having undergone their usual time of company and skirmishing drill, they were marched into the Volunteer Hall, when Major Lusk informed them there would also be a company drill held in the hall every Saturday evening at 7 o'clock. The Major also stated there would be an extra meeting of the band in the week, namely on Wednesday, for the sole purpose of the instruction of beginners, and tor the pioposed Brass Baud, Mr. Chilman kindly stating his willingness to attend.— [Conc&poudenfc.]
