Buyers : Caledonian, £19 10a ; Gas shares, £9 ; Tokatea,£3 12s Cd ; Bismarck, £3 10s ; Waiteraata, Bs." Mr. Charles Burton reports : — "Market active. Caledonian, £19 10j to £20, cum div.; Thames, £5 103 to £5 12s 6d ; All Nations, £3 7s 6d ; Grpen Harp, £6 17s 6d ; Bismarcks, £3 103 ; Tokatea, £3 12s 6d to £3 15s ; Prid«s, 9s 3d : Argo, Is Gel j Multum in Parvo, buyers ss, sellers 6s ; Siege of Paris, 123 611 to 14s ; Waitemata, 10s ; Windsor Castle, 17s, buyers 165." Messrs. Hague Smith and Walker report : — "The sharemarket has, been quiet to-day. Leading stocks generally firm. Our sales have been : Caledonians, £19, £19 Ws, £20 cum div. ; Moanataiari, £A 7s 6d ex div. ; Inverness, 12s ; Working Miuers, 7s 8d ; Cororaandel Beach, 12s. Bayers : Bismarck, £3 10s ; Thames, £5 103 ; Peep o' Daj-, 6s ; Ruby, Bs. Sellers ; Moanataiari, £4 7a 6d ; Working Miners, 81." Mr. ,). M. Lennox reports :— " Business upon the Exchange was tolerably active. Tn consequence of the dividend there was a good demand for Caledonian shares. My sales comprise— Caledonian, £19, £19 10s, £19 15s, £20) closing with buyers at £20 j Thames, £5 10s ; Corom*ndel Beaoh, 15s ; Bismarok, 72s 6d. Buyers : Bismarck, £3 10s j Peep o' Day, 65.» Mr. E. B» Robinson reports : — "A slightly* improved market. Caledonians, Biimarcks, and Tokate* in good demand. Outside stocks neglected. I sold Tokatea at 72s 6d f 745, 765, and 72s 6d ; Bismarck, 70s. Market closed with buyers for Caledonian!, £20} Bismarcks, 70s ; Tokatba, 72s 6d." Messrs. Ward and Gellion report : " Our business to-day has been almost exclusively confined to Caledonian, in which stocks exchanges haye been pretty active at £19, £19 10s, £20, £20 ss; closing buyer*, £20; sellers, £21. Buyers : Sons of Freedom, All Nation!, Windsor Castle, Junction, Tookey," Nbw Zkxlanb Shibm in Avstraxxa.^ The Sydney Morning Herald of May 23 quotes :• New Zealand Treasury Bills, £103 to £104 ; Bank of Nevr Zealand, £20 to £20 10s.
