[Before Jackson Keddell, Esq., R.M.] The usual fortnightly sitting of the Resident Magistrate's Court took place yesterday, when a considerable number of cases werefdisposed of. —Mrs. Elizabeth O'Neill, as representative of the late Charles Holloway, sued four natives for various amounts for goods sold and delivered. Mr. Leary appeared for Mrs. O'Neill, and Mr, Henry Grahame for the natives. Mr. Davia, Kikowhakarere, acted as interpreter The cases lasted a considerable portion of the day, and ultimately his Worship recorded judgment for the plaintiff with costs. —Mr. Wtiitaker appeared for Mr. Quail in two caseß brought against a resident named McNeill —the first for rent for use and occupation, and the second for the value of a pig killed by defendant—and in^each case obtained judgment for his client with costs. —A case against the Moonlight Goldmining Company for wages, another by Mr. Glover for sundries against a person named Balmer, andjtwo other smalldebt cases disposed of the Court list.
