The arbitration case, To Moan&nui versus Liundon, was continued to-day, when the evidence of Messrs. Wilkinson and Young, interpreter, was taken. The inquiry was then adjourned until to-morrow. | The Thames Rifle Association meeting was continued. Sixth match, 200, 500, and 600 yards, seven shots. Gordon, Navals, 64 ; Captain Barnett, 61 ; Partington, Soot tish, 61 ; Thompson, Navals, 61 ; Captain Mu-ray, 56 ; Lieutenant Hazard, 59. Fourth match : Butler, Scottish. 30 ; Ensign Crick, 29 ; Captain Lipsey, 28. The highest aggregate scores at the fifth and sixth matches were — Murray, 103, thus winning the Absociation'a medal j Hazard, 102 j Thompson, 100. Bright Smile.— The ground has been retaken up according to the terms of the new Mining Districts Act. The disputed strip of ground next the Queen of Beauty is marked in. Imperial Crown. — The lease has also been abandoned, and license for the ground applied for, Moanataiaut, — No. 1 cross-cut has been opened in the Kuranui Hill tunnel to find the No. 9 lode, of which great things are expected in the way of rich yield.
