TE KOOTI IN THE WAIKATO DISTRICT.-INTERVIEW WITH
MR. MOOJS-. Te Kooti crossed the river, a little below Te Waotu.on the 13fch instant,and proceeded to Arowhen*, where he stayed a night, aud then went on to Wharohena, where he passed two davs, and was there seen by Mr. Moon, of Maiingatautari, who happened to be at that place, and who spent the night in tho | same whare with him, and appears to have ! had a good deal of conversation with the i fellow. It appears he is on his way to Tokai njzamutu, to throw himself on the protection I of the so-called King, and is pretty confident of a favourable reception from all the rebels there, except Rewi, of whose sentiments towards him he is somewhat m doubt. His tail consists of five men, three women, and four boys. The men are all armed with Government Enfield rides, and long knives made from shears taken when they barnfc the woolshed at Harakino.
