STARTING OP THE CAIiEDONIAN PUMPS. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Guahamstowx, Wednesday, noon. All Nations obtained 401b. of rich specimens this morning from the lower level. Tookey Tribute Company.— The 50 ton 3 crushed at the Manukau machine yielded 230z. of gold. The sale of freehold allotments by Mr. Dowden was well attended, and prices ranging from £2 to £2 10s. per foot in Pollen-street, and ss. to 203. per foot in Pahan-, Eyre-, and Kirkwood-streets, were realised. 8.25 p.m. The Caledonian pumps are at work again. The sharemarket is quiet, and closed weak. Caledonian shares, £127 ; Thames, £24 10s. ; Tookey, £29 ; All Nations, £G ; Nonpareil, £6 15s. ; Shotover, 11s. ; Alburni*, buyers £5 15s. ; Inverness, 20s. The Poverty and Charleston Tribute Company have commenced their firat crushing at the Manukau machine.
