MEETING OF THE GAS SONSUMERS' COMPANY.
A meeting of the provisional directors of the (ias Consumers' Company was held yesterday. Arrangements were made for issuing aprospectua, and a committee was formed to make inquiries respecting the acquirement of a suitable site for the company's worls. Jt was resolved to write to Sydney aud Melbourne, inviting estimates from parties willing to contract for gas works. The prospectuses will probably be issued in a few days.
