The market closed with — buyers : Caledonian, 190 Z.; Thames, 371. 10s; Tookey, ZIU Central Italy, 40b ; Bright Smile, 40s ; Golden jCalf, 42s 6d ; Tokatea, 82s 6d. Sailers: Caledouian, 1952.; Thames, 381. 10s ; Tookey, SSL" Mr. J. Highley reports :~" The oharemarket was dull to-day. Caledonians, 1957.; Tham«e, 372. 10s; Tookey, 38;. Sellers:

Crown Prince, 6« ; Central Italy, iOf to 455." Mr. George Bennett reporta sales today :— " Caledonian, 195/., 192 J. 10s; closing, sellers, 192/. 10b. Thames, 37*., 36/. 10s; Tookey, 37/., 36*. 10a; Bright Smile, buyers, 405." Mr. Saunders reports sales this day :— "Caledonian, 195/.; Long Drive, 121. ; bright Smile, 40a and 41s ; Kelly, 90s ; Tokatea, 85s. Market dull, prices lower." Mr. E. W. Walker reports :— "The sharemarket has been unusually quiet to-day, and less business done. \ hare sold — Caledonian, 194 Z. ss; Thames, 37 7. 10a ; City of London, 158 ; Central Italy, 455 ; Long Drive, 121. and 12/ 10s." Mr. J. M. Lennox reports : — "The •haremarket was most inactive. A few shares in leading stocks changed hands at slightly reduced rates. My sales comprise — Caledonian, 196/. and 194/.; Thames, 37/. 10s. Closing buyers— Thames, 37 J. 10s; Caledonian, 190/. Closing sellers— Caledonian, 192/. 10s; Thames, 37/. 10s ; Albion, 13?. 17s 6d; Otago, 77s 6d ; Tookey, 38/." Messrs. Scott and Co. report : — ' ' A dull market to-day. Caledonians, 195/.; Thames, 37/. 15s ; Tokatea No. 2, Is 6d to Is 9d. Very few buyers for any stock except the la«t, of which large parcels have changed kands."
