Messrs. O. Arthur and Son sold to-day, by order of Thomas L. White, Esq., Official Agent, the mine, plant, buildings, implements, Ac., of th« Kellys Goldmiaing Company, for 500?. The Thames Evening Star remarks :— "It is satisfactory to find that the Customs revenue at the Thames continues to show an improvement. The returns for the month just ended have betn as follow : — Customs duties, 1,335? 13a Sd ; fcea under the Merchant Shipping Act, 3/. 5s 3d ; Arms Act, 412. 8a ; .making a total revenue of of 1,380/. 6s lid. The post charges (provincial revenue) during the month have been 142. 15s lid. The abova is the largest we have yet been called upon to notice."
