Daily Southern Crcs Office, Tueslay Evening. Messrs. W. G. Harrison and Co. aold by auction to-day, by order of the trustee in the estate of Edward Harrison and Co., 100 acres of land, situated on the banks of the Waikato river, adjoining Ashwell's missionstation, 50 acres at Whatawhata, with cottage erected thereon, 371. 10s; allotment No. 8, Coromandel, with stone store erected thereon, 802.; allotment and large store at the Tharaoi,let for a term at 522. per annum, 185?. Messrs. O. Arthur and Son sold to-day, by order of Thomas L. White, Esq., Official Agent, the mine, plant, buildings, implements, Ac., of th« Kellys Goldmiaing Company, for 500?. The Thames Evening Star remarks :— "It is satisfactory to find that the Customs revenue at the Thames continues to show an improvement. The returns for the month just ended have betn as follow : — Customs duties, 1,335? 13a Sd ; fcea under the Merchant Shipping Act, 3/. 5s 3d ; Arms Act, 412. 8a ; .making a total revenue of of 1,380/. 6s lid. The post charges (provincial revenue) during the month have been 142. 15s lid. The abova is the largest we have yet been called upon to notice."
