MOUNT ROSKILL.

The annual meeting of tlie ratepayers of Mount Eoskill Highway District took place at the Prince Albert Inn, Epsom, yosteiday. There was a numerous attendance of ratepayers, and Mr. J. May was voted to the chair. — The Chairman read the advertisement convening the meeting, and called on the ratepayer present to elect auditors. — On the motion of Mr. Buckland, Messrs. Hayr and Dornwell were elected, and the accounts) were audited and passed.— The Chairman read a statement of receipts and expenditure for the past year, and said the finances of the Board were in a sound position, there being a balance of £40 in hand. —It was proposed by Mr. Coffey, seconded by Mr. Connelly, that the rate be Id. per acre. Agreed to. — The following gentlemen were then elected a board of trustees for the current yeai :—: — Messrs. May, Buckland, Dornwell, Hayr, and Westlako. — Proposed by Mr. Buck land, seconded by Mr. Dornwell, that Messrs. Cleghorn and Hayr be auditors for the current year. Agreed to. — A vote of thanks to the chairman and retiring trustees was passed, and the meeting dispersed.
