CHURCH PARADE OF VOLUNTEERS.

The members of the Auckland battalion of Volunteers, and most of the Southern competitors foi' the Government prizes, mustered at the Drill-shed yesterday moruing, at halfpast 8 o'clock, for the purpose of attending Divine service at St. Paul's Church. Both the Artillery and the Rifle bands were present, and played alternately to and from church. Nearly 300 Volunteers were present, including the officers, among who?n were Colonel Harington .and Majors Gordon and Tisdall. The whole of the battalion left the Barracks by the Symonds-street gate, headed by the Artillery band playing some excellent music, and marched down Symonds-street, up Waterloo Quadrant, and along Princes-street to the church. The service was conducted by Bishop Cowie, assisted by the Bey. C. M. Nelson. His Lordship delivered a most impressive and eloquent address, taking for his subject, "Moral Courage." After the conclusion of the service, the men formed in companies behind the church, and marched to the barracks by way of Symonds-street, followed i by a large concourse of people.
