The Ohiuemuri plot is thickening. The attitude of the natives is increasingly hostile. The way to Tauranga has been barred to Europeans. Constable Purcell, census enu« inerator, was turned back by Mere Kuru, when going to Tauranga. [Pbr Grevilles Telegram Company (Keuter's Agents).] Shojrtland, Sunday, 5.11 p.m. Messrs. Puckey and Warbrick have returned from Ohineinuri. The mail paths have been fenced and picquetted. Europeans and Maoris are forbidden to pass. Mail communication has been altogether stopped, and Te Hira appears to be obstinately determined to continue his opposition.
