Mr. Dyer reports that there has been considerable activity in the share market during the past week. ll is most recent sales have been— ShotoveiN, at Ss ; Long Drives, at 131 , ck div ; Mo.inataiaiis, at 21. 15s ; Belfasts, at 2Grf ; and All Nations, at 11. Nonpareils, Moanataiai is, and All Nations are in demand. Mr. H. Vickers repoits : — "The business of the last week has been of a most active character, and large tiansactions have taken place. Bank of New Zealand shares are (irmly held for 16/. New Zealand Insurance bharci are sought for at 201. In the goldmining shaies the business has been heavy, with a geueial advance on most of the known interests. Prices have varied rnueli daring the week, but the following may be consideied about the closing prices: — Caledonians, 97?. 10s.; Thames, 17?. 10s. ; All Nations, 7<!.; Junctions, 40s; LongPiivcs, 13?. 10s; Shotovers, 8s 3d; Unas, 17s lid ; Inverness, 13s; Tokatea, 10s; Belfast?, 30a. <**■* £, *«*- L sr ■ £ £ £. s. £ P.ank of N. Junctions have been greatly in demand. I have sold in large lots at 21., and 21. 2s <5d for &m<ill parcels ; Nonpareils at 50s and 55a, holding for fi,?s ; Moanataiaii, 21. 10s, still in demand, sellers at 00s ; Thames Goklmining Company, 17?. 10s ; Tookey's, 81., downward tendency ; All Nations, 11. ; Long ])rive, 13J. Unas have been quitted at 17s Gd, still sougnt after; Shotovers, sellers Ss. " SIIAItE-MABKET AT THE THAMES. An increased activity in the Thames sharemarket has been perceptible during the last day or two, but only in the case of approved stock. The Caledonian, of course, heads the list, but, notwithstanding the enormous finds of specimens, buying prices have not advanced beyond 100?. This to me, however, seeni3 but a slight lull preceding another lise ; for in the event of the richness of the mine continuing— and of that there is little doubt— prices must touch a figure very far in advance of preseut rates. All Nations have j taken a decided stride to the fore, conse. quent as much upon the generally excellent condition of the mine as on account of the rich stone taken out of the shot of gold in the Inverness leader during the last day or two. Scrip are now quoted at 71. 10s to 8?., vrith no buyers at the larger figure that I have heard of. There has been a run upon Nonpareils to-day, very good news coming from the mine being to hand ; Zl. and 31. 5s have been freely offered, but sellers arc holding back, and do not seem inclined to quit at less than Zl. 10s ; a few transactions, however, took place at SI. Unas are advancing • if the result of the fortnightly cleaning up to-morrow comes up to anticipations, they will stand at from 11. to 255 ; holders are now i asking 11, , whilst buyers are offering from 17s to 18s. Waitematas hare been quitted to-day at 19a, and are to be had in plenty for U. A little business has been done in Cures at 6s, and in Otagos at from 15s to 16s. Red Queens are quoted at 2s 6d, Junctions 21,, and Belfasts at 27s to 28s, with many inquiries. — [Thames Correspondent. ]
