Undoubted Security.— On tho 28th February ISOD, tho ascertained total liability ol the Society was £463,000, while tho accumulated a»S3t» wore £602,046, showing a clear surplus of £149,646. There is also over and above tlie Assurance Fund the additional security of a Special Reseive Fund of £50,000. At tho above date the Society had in hand equal to 70 per cent, of the entire assurance premiums received fiom memberi. 2. Laige Bonuses— because, being a purely Mutual Office, the entire profits belong to the assured, »nd hay not to be paid away in dividends to ah&reholders. : The total Keversionnry Bonuses declared by tho 1 Society amount to £485,000. Memberi of the Assurance Branch can obtain the value of their bonuses in cash, or appropriate them to a reduction of f nture premiums. Premiums may be paid half-yjearly er quarterly. Should a member din during the days of grace whilst tho premium is unpaid, the policy will still be f alid ai;d effectual.
