MTNINGDixon's No. I.— The last stuff that will be crushed from this miue this year is now going through one of Goodall's batteries, and will be finished to-night. About loz to the ton will be the return. The stone comes from a branch of the main lode, upon which a winze is being sunk from the surface to the 60ft. level. The branch is of large size, its average in thickness being three feet. The stuff is worth l£oz. the ton at the surface, but gets poorer ag it runs deeper, and at GOft. is only wurth jjoz. There is a large block of this stuff to be taken, out, and it may be depended upon to payBay View, Cokomandel. — The 520:z. of gold I reported yesterday from this claim was the yield of 25 tons stone. Royal Oak, Coromandel. — A gentleman who arrived from Coromandel last night informs me that a Btroke of good luck fell to the share of the owners of this mine yesterday. Whilst driving on. the leader the junction of another vein was met with, and excee lingly rich stone at the same time. The patch is described as being richer than anything ever taken out of the Little Wonder. Providence Company. — The tributera have just finished an excellent crushing at Souters machine — 6 tons of stone yielded 28oz. 16dwt. retorted gold. Eveline, Tararu. — The 10 tons crashed on trial at the Wild Missouri machine gave 84»z. of gold. This is a handsome return, and afforos ample encouragement to the shareholders to open the mine, and give it a thorough trial.
