GOLDFIELDS REWARD COMMIS. SION.

The Commissioners met at 10 o'clock on Friday. The hearing of Pineha Maraiatuaha's claim was resumed. Mr. A. R. Campbell appeared on behalf of claimant. Mr. Mainwaring attended as interpreter to the Commission. Karaima Hoei and Parata te Mapu, tyro leading chiefs of the Ngatimaru tribe, were examined at considerable length respecting the finding of gold at th« Kuranui in 1851, and in reference to subsequent events connected with the opening of the field. Their examination lasted until five o'clock, when the Commissioners adjourned until ten o'clock next morning (Saturday). — There are three more witnesses to be examined when the case is resumed.
