THE NEW COMMANDS.

Erroneous statements have been made by a contemporary as to the proposed changes in the various mihtai-y commands. The following may however be relied upon ;—Lieute-nant-Colonel Lyon will proceed to Tauranga to-day to take temporary command of the district, Lieutenant-Colonel St. John will assume command of the Opotiki district. We hear also that Lieutenant-Colonel Harington is likely to be placed in command of the Auckland volunteer and militia forces.
