POLICE COURT.— Saturday.

(Before A.. W. East, Esq , J. P.) Two inebriates, respectively answering to the names of John Kuight and James Macintosh, were fined in the sum of ss. each, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Illegally on Pkemises. — John Frazer was charged with being on the premises of T. Jones, JTobson-street, without any lawful excuse. — The Commissioner of Police stated the facts to the Bench, and from them it appeared that the prisoner had entered the house at 4 o'clock that morning, leaving his boots outside, and that when the prosecutor appeared he ran away ; also, that several articles and some money were missed in the house. — The prisoner made a rambling statement, and was sentenced to be imprisoned in the common gaol for one year with hard labour.
