CONCERT AT THE DUKE OF EDIN BURGH THEATRE.

Among the audience we noticed Colone' nnd Mrs Elliott, Mrs John Williamson and f.unilv, Major H/unley tho Very Rev l)r McDonald, Apn&tolic Administrator, the Very Rev. Father AValter McDonald, Kev H J I'vnes (Howick), Rev. M 0 O'Haia lOtihnlni), Rev. Frnnne Del Monte (I'ainell), and the Rev Patrick O'Keiilv Aboaf thirty children belongins? to the Oipli.mye in chaige of Mm Cullity, foined fl. very consp.cuous gump, diessed in then neat blue cbessej and white hoods, and their appearance spoke n ost favourably of the caie and comfort which surrounded the orphan children connected with tho institute To the Jtev Father Walter McDonald much of the success of tho conceit was due, as ho woiked very arden ly in the eamo, and was instiumental in bringing together the larger portion of those who wero present The entiio concort was undor tho direction of Mr Brown and Air. Quinn was in his place in command of tho band of the 18th Mi-s Shinaghan presided mist ably at tho piano and to her and to tho other ladi>swho tendered their valuable services gieat praise is due for the willing mannor in which they came foi R ard The following is tl.e programme of the evening's entertainment; — Part 1 : Overture, "De?
