The following telagram reached us at halfpast 11 o'clock lait night : — Te Awamutu, July 28, 10 p.m. Te Kooti left Te Kuiti on Monday, proceeding on the road to Mokau. The chief Eeihana proposed to Tawhiao to pursue To Kooti and drive him to Taupo. Tawhiao, however, refused to accede to that course. The Ngttimaniapoto determined not to stop their district againifc Te Kooti. Manga (Kewi) is reported to be mad.
