Potatoes were rising in value in Melbourne, and a large quantity sold on the wharf at £5. At present we ; can only repeat our former quotations— hay, £5 ; flour, £10 10s -, wheat, 4s 6d ; oats, 3s to 3a 3d ; barley, 4s 6d to sa ; Tasmanian oatmeal, £22 to £24 ; ryegrass seed, 6s ; tares, 5a ; potatoes, £3 without bags, £3 10s bags in.
