THE JAPANESE JUGGLERS.
The fifth and last performance of the first programme issued by Messrs. Lenton and Smith was gone through by the Jugglers at the cirque last evening, before a very large and enthusiastic audience, with that extraordinary precision and completeness so characteristic of true genius. It is an old and hackneyed proverb, but nevertheless still bristling with truth, that " it is art to conceal art;" but the Great Dragon Troupe, to our mind, comes very near to this high state of perfection. No matter what the feat under exhibition may be — the boneless man turning himself we had almost said inside out, or Cuts-who-gero having a slide on the slack and tight rop-", balancing herself simply with an umbrella — there is an ease and gracefulness about the various actors which at one 3 stamps the adept in his art. Of course, it is no use asking our readers to witness for themsslves the wonderful performances we have been chronicling for the past few days, as we find from the advertisement inserted elsewhere that new and thrilling acts are promised for to-night. Looking, however, at the astonishingly successful manner in which the first programme has been carried out, we have no hesitation in recommending a visit to all who care to pass a thoroughly pleasant evening.
