MISCELLANEOUS.

The ship Siam is still lying out in the stream, it being'fonnd impossible during the continuance of the present heavy weather to bring )her alongside the wharf. When we get s change she will take up the berth at present occupied by the s.s. Phoebe. The cutters Polly, JFly, and Miranda were yesterday to have been sold by Mr. Cochrane at his auction mart, Fort street. The sale of the two former was, however, postponed, but the Miranda changed band* for £270. We understand she is to be used in the Thames trade. The Bchooner Aurora will leave for the Bay of Islands this evening. The brig Tower Hill, and the schooners Southern Cross, Australia, and Margaret, are fast discharging cargo, and will be ready for sea in a few days. The fine barque Ballarat is fast filling up for London, and has already a large quantity of kauri gum on board. It cannot but be a matter of satisfaction that our gum exports are so rapidly increasing. The barque Kate, Captain Cooper, arrived at Sydney, as stated in our yesterday's issue, on the 3rd instant. Allowing ten days for discharging and reloading, and giving her another ten days for the passage to this port, she made the last trip in six days and a-balf. She may be looked for about the 22nd instant. We understand that a schooner, of about 60 tons burden, which is at present on the stocks in the Bhip-building yard at Blind Bay, Great Barrier Island, will be launched very shortly, and will come on to Auckland to be employed in bhe coasting trade.
