Ouß Upper Thames correspondent, writing on th« fith instant, Btatea that Mr. Buckland's cattle, which were seized a few days ago at Patetere, have been driven to Tokangamutu, for the purpose of being killed to feast the Maoris who may attend the next great native meeting. The more advanced of the Hauhau party have left Ohinenuri in order to avoid meeting with Mr. Mackay.
His Excellency the Governor has gjven fifteen guineas to the funds of the Ladies' Benerolent Society, and five guineas to the Befuge for the Dq* titrate and Lying-in Hospital*
