The s.b. 'Egtnont,' which left for Sydney en April 4th, took 1,0210z. lgr. gold on account of the Union Bank of Australia, and 4370z. shipped by the Bank of Australasia. The receipt of gold in Auckland within the past few days, from the various olaimi now being worked at the Thames goldfields, has been very satisfactory. On the 2nd inst. 1,100 ounces were brought up by the ' Midge,' on account of the banks, and the 'Tauranga was the bearer on the 3rd inst. of 1,200 ounces, 900 ounces of which were the product of Hunt and Co.'s claim.
