KAPANGA GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

The annual general meeting of the shareholders in this company was held, at three o'clock yesterday afternoon, in Mr. Cochranes Buildings, Fort-street, " for the purpose of receiving the report of the directors and auditors for the year ending 30th ult., for the election of three directors in the place of those retiring, the election of two auditors for the current year, and for any other business that may be brought before the meeting." Present : Messrs. Abbott, W. W. Wilson, Yon der Heyde, Eoberton, Ewen, Turton, G-uthrie, Daldy, Dyson, Potter, Ogilvie, W. Grahame. Mr. Potter suggested that the meeting should be adjourned until the following day, in consequence of the absence of Mr. Whitaker, Chairman of Directors, who was detained on business at the District Court. Mr. Reader Wood was also engaged on board H.M. s. ' Charybdis.' It would be well, as a matter of business, that the Chairman of Directors should be present. Mr. W. W. Wilson said that sufficient notice had been given of the holding of the meeting, and some apology should have been sent by those directors absent. As there was a quorum present he did not see why they should adjourn the meeting. Mr. Daxdt thought the business should be proceeded with, and if anything arose which required explanation the meeting could then be adjourned. Mr. Yon dee Heyde thought it would be well to act upon the Chairman's suggestion. On the motion of Mr. Abbott, seconded by Mr. Yon deb HEYDE.the meeting was adjourned until three o'clock this afternoon at the same place.
