Jones held a large sale of teas, groceries, &c, to-day, at the Brunswick Buildings, and realised the following quotations :— ' Shelburne ' tea (quarter- chests), 235, in bond j white crystal sugar, fiid to 5 3-16 d per pound ; candles, Is l^d to Is l£d per pound j salad oil, 7s 6d per dozen ; cornflour, 8d per pound ; sardines (half), 8s 6d per dozen ; sardines (quarter), 5s 7d per dozen j jams, 8s 9d per dozen ; pickles, from 10a 9d to 11s 9d per dozen ; S earl barley, 3d per pound; tarb fruits, 11s per ozen ; sauces, 6=» 9d per dozen ; paper, 3d per pound ; Campbells hams, lid per pound ; bacon, 6Jd per pound ; salt, from £4 to £4 15s per ton ; whiting, 6s per cask ; English impotted tea, Is 9£d per pound in bond j kerosine, 3s 6d per gallon; beef, 70s per tierce; picked pork, 4fd per pound j lard, Bid; cheese, 7id ; butter, B|d. Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs held a large sale of tobacco, &c, to-day, at their stores, Queen-street, and obtained for the best brands from Is to Is Id per pound ; Ozzens's kerosine brought 3s 7d per gallon. Groceries sold at fair prices, and the wh6le sale realised above £500 cash.
