Mr. Higgins's soap and candle factory, consisting of sheds, plant, Ac., with two four-roomed cottages, in Chapel-street, having a frontage of 86 links by a depth of 162 links, was sold, by order of the mortgagee, for £220. A four-roomed dwelling-house with allotment, in Wellington Place, sold for £29; also, lot 18, parish of Mareretu, near Wangarei, containing 80 acres, brought £10.
