MEETING OF THE PARISHIONERS OF ALL SAINTS.
A meeting of the parishioners of All Stints' parish was held last evening in All Saints' Church, Ponsonby Road. The Eev. E. N. Bree occupied the chair. The Chairman said that they were oalled together to consider the advisability of forming a footpath in Ponaonby Road, to give access to the church. They *11 knew what * condition the road would be in during the winter, and he believed they would agree with him that it was desirable some measures should be adopted to form a footpath along Ponsonby Road. They wo\Ud have to be content with a narrow path for the present, as their means were limited. He would be glad to hear any proposals that they had to make. Mr. Olbham proposed that those lmng on each side of the church form their portions of the road separately, which was unanimously agreed to. Mr. Dalton stated that he had been informed that the footpath could be made at Is. 4d. per yard. Mr. Mills proposed, " That a deputation, consisting of the following gentlemen, wait upon his Honor the Superintendent, with a view to ascertain how far he would be prepared to assist in making the foot, path:— The Rev. Mr. Bree; Messrs. Oldham, Leighton, and Jakins." The proposition was then carried. On the motion of Mr. Oldham, the meeting was adjourned until this evening, for the purpose of hearing the report of the deputation.
