REGISTRATION.
We have been requested by Colonel Balneavis, registration officer, to warn electors of the fruitlessness of sending in claims to vote in accordance with the terms of the old registration, forms in use before the passing of the Registration of Electors Aot, 1866. Numerous claims to vote have already been received— from all parts of the country — founded upon the old style of declaration, but which cannot now be admitted as valid by the Revising Officer ; and in order to prevent disappointment from such a wholesale system of rejection which must ensue, the Registration Officer has, at infinite trouble to himself, returned all claims to the applicants, with correct forms enclosed in franked envelopes, returnable to him before the 31st instant. Copies of the new registration forms can be obtained from the publishing office of the Daily Southern' Gross, Queen-street; and for the benefit of our country readers who may be unable, from distance and want of time, to prooure any of these necessary documents, we subjoin a copy of the legal form : —
