Melbourne, September 17. Arrived. — 'Alma' from HokitiLi, 'Gulnare' from "Victor Harbour, 'Swallow' from Circular Head, 'Elizabeth' from Mauritius, 'Cabot' from Ham-
burg, ' Kate' from Oporto. One of the crew of the pilot schooner ' Rip ' was nearly drowned last night through slipping off the steps of the steamboat jetty into the water. Owing to the darkness of the night it was with difficulty he was recovered. Adelaide, SeDtember 17.
The opera season closed on Saturday. The company gave a secular concert in the town-ball this evening. Most of the company leave for Melbourne by the ' Coorong' steamer. The Governor and Lady Daly were present at the installation of the Eev. Dr. Shiel. Dr. Shiel has appointed the Key. Mr. Russell as archdeacon. The ship 'Huguenot,' which arrived on Sunday, from Plymouth, brings 334 Government and assisted immigrants.
