FIFTY POUNDS REWARD.

THE above Reward will bo paid for the APPREHENSION" and CONVICTION of the parties who, on the evening of Thursday, 28th, or Friday, 29th ultimo, did unlawfully KILL one valuable SHEEP and several TURKEYS, and did carry away portions of the same in a white boat from the Island of Motutapu, and went towards the Island of Rakino, the property of Sir George Grey. ■ The party consisted of three Europeans or white > men, and nine Maoris. Ten Pounds each will be paid out of the above reward for the apprehension and conviction of the white men. Four Pounds for the principal or chief of the Maoris, and Two Pounds for each of the others. TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS REWARD. WHEREAS divers persons have been in the habit of VISITING th« Island of MOTUTAPD" under pretence of fishing, oystering, or procuring ballast, but for the real "purpose of stealing and carrying away of Sheep, Turkeys, Geese, Pheasants, Rabbits, &c. , &c. . The above reward will be paid for the APPREHENSION and CONVICTION of the first party or parties found guilty of any of the above depredations. Permission to remove ballast has been rescinded, and boatmen anchoring in any of the Bays are cautioned against trespassing, as they will make themselves liable to be apprehended as the thieves who have been in the habit of killing and stealing Sheep, Turkeys, &c, &c.
