A collision between the Federal and French troops on the Rio Grande was reported. Davis and Lee are to be tried by a. military tribunal. A son of Sir William Thomas, Bart., of England, was arrested on a charge of forging bills of credit on the firm of Duncan, Sherman, and Co. The Fenian excitement had nearly subsided.
