All the articles offered for issue to be of the best marketable quality of their several kinds, and subject to the approval or rejection of the Senior Commissariat Officer, or Officer appointed by him for that purpose, and if rejected other supplies of a satisfactory nature are to be at once substituted ; failing which, or if the deliveries are not made at the time and place appointed, the Commissariat Officer, or, in Ms absence, the Paymaster of the ship, to have power to purchase at the Contractor's expense 2. Contractors will have no right to claim payment of their accounts within ten days after the close of t_e "T Each Tender must bear the oon&fide signatures of two responsible and approved sureties for the due performance of the Contracb, and should the Fender be accepted, they, with the Contractor, must attend at the Commissariat office within six days to sign a bond, the penalty of which will be about one fourth of the whole sum that will probably be paid under the Contract. Persons tendering are warned against writing the names of proposed sureties themselves. 6. Each cask of salt beef and salt pork to be opened in the presence of a Commissariat Officer, or person appointed by him, and repacked at the expense of the Contractor, and only the best pieces will Vf Supplies may be demanded under this Contract for any ships hired for the conveyance of her Majesty s Commissariat to have the right of importing and issuing any supplies during the period of these Contracts. . 9. Forms of Tender and any information may be obtained at this office. No form of Tender will be issued after noon of Wednesday, the 14th instant 10.
