MASONIC.
The Jlasonic brotherhood of Auckland have held two impressive demonstrations duiing the present month. On the 9th instant the anuiversaiy of the Piinco of Wfcles's birthday, the Pioviucial Grand Lodge of New Zetland, Irish Constitution, was opened, at the Masonic Hotel. The officers of the Grand Lodge were installed in their vaiious offices as follow:— D.P.G.M., J. L. 'Pole ; P.G.S.W., Hugh Morrow, sen; P.GJ.W., C. P. Goldsbro' ; P.GS.D., F. L. Joues; P.G.J.D., Thomas Scott; P.G, Treasurer, W. Brookfield; Secretary, George P. Pierce ; Master of Ceremonies, A. B. Griffiths : Sword Bearer, Brother McDowell ; Pursuivant, Vessey. On the same day the foundation stone of th« new Supreme Court-house was laid with Masonic honours by his Honor the Supei intendent of Auckland, Brother Fred. A. Whitaker, and was followed by » bauquet, at which covers were laid for 212 persons. The celebration of the Festival of St Andrew will t»ke place to-morrow (St. Andrew's Day), in the St. Andrew's Lodge room, No. 418, S.C., at the Star Hotel. Diuuer to be on the table at seven o'clock.
