GARRISON HUNT.
We are glad to learn that there is a probability, before long, of having a pack of houuds introduced to this proviuco in connection with the Garrison Hunt. Several gentlemen, resident in the province, have each volunteered to bring out, from England, a few couples of dog?, ou couditiou that the cost, by ship, be guaranteed by the gentlemen composing the Hunt. Of courie this liberal offer was at once agreed to. An Arrangement c.in easily be made with any of the London firms running regular liners to Auckland, to bring the doga out at moderate rate". We trust the residents in the city, who cm afford time and money to encourage legitimate field sports ill emulate our country settlers iv seconding the efforts made by the officers of the Garrison in establishing a hunt in Auckland. The next meet will be in the neighbourhood of Ouehunga. Due notice of the meot will be given, however.
