[ADVEKTISEMKNT ] ELECTORS OF THE NORTHERN DIVISION, — We have now befoi eus the several candidates who desire to represent us in the forthcoming Provincial Council — the roturn of those we desire to represent us it is for us to decide. Ono thing I would impress upon my brother electors is to vote for those men whose interest is blended with our own, and who will do what they can to open up the country by roads. Hitherto the men who have represented us in the Council have done but little to accomplish this purpose. Many of you kuow, by dear-bought experience, that the land you live on and hold is of very little value for the want of roads, and unless we put in those men that will bring their influence to bear on this question, the properties we hold must remain of little value, and the difficulty, or almost impossibility, of any produce you raise to get it to market, so as to remunerate for the labour. Without roids the settlement of the geneial country lands will never be a success. Let us have roads, and then people. I would say, let us elect Messrs. Thomas Henderson, O'Neill, Moirow, McLeod, and Shechan. Messrs. Henderson and O'Neill have fought our battles in the South, and deseive our best support ; Morrow has show n jood judgment as Chnirnian of the Waitakerei Eoad Board, nnd seems the right man in the right place ; no one has done more Ihan McLeod to open up the back country ; Shtehan is now a settler in the centre of the district, the wants of which he will certainly will know from tho difficulty of access to his own property. 1 am, yours truly, JOHN LAMB. Waitemata Mills, November 16, 1865.
