Grant, all o£ Otago, for the invention of '• Dunns hydraulic rotary foice and lift engine;" a list of blank form* of bank of issue notes, abstracted from the old Customs' Store, Auckland, and a caution that the same aio worthless; the appointment of T. S. Rpttntroe, Hokianga, as Justice of the Peace ; a notice that, for the purpose of preparing the financial accounts of the colony, all Government oificers in receipt of public moneys are to lender their accounts, &c, before the 30th June next; a list of amveyors licensed under the Native Lnods Act, 1862 ; that after the Ist June next, all money-order offices in this colony will be prepared to istue orders for transmitting money to Tasmania, at the rate of Is. for £5, and above &o, and not exceeding £10, 2i ; that, under the Customs Regulations Act, ISSB, Messrs. Hastedt and Leers, and M. P G. Myer, of Auckland, have been licensed to act as custom-house agenfa for this port ; that goods entered outwards for drawback of duty, unJer see. 103 of tho Customs Regulation Act, 1858, on which £10 duty has been paid, must have been imported in one vessel, no two ships being allowed to form one claim; a notification that all collectors and tub-collectors may refund the duty, collected under protest, oii' all articles classed under sub-sec. 14 of see. 3, under the New< Customs Duties Act, 1864 ; a copy of a lotter from the chief registrar of British shipping, respecting vessels constructively lost for which CHe registry certificate has boen given up; a return of ihe quantity , and value of gold expoi ted' from Now Zealand fiom Ist April, 1857, to 31sfc December, 1864.
